Leah Powell Retirement

Today marked a significant day in the life of the Worship Ministries at Scottsdale Bible. We said goodbye to the hub of our team’s wheel, Leah Powell. After serving 27 remarkable years in faithful ministry, she decided it was time to step down and focus more attention on the growing family business. She began her first day on the job October 12, 1987 with Ed Willmington (Worship Pastor from 1985-2006) and it was fitting that he and Mary Lou were able to join us on her last day to celebrate an amazing career.

Today marked a significant day in the life of the Worship Ministries at Scottsdale Bible. We said goodbye to the hub of our team’s wheel, Leah Powell. After serving 27 remarkable years in faithful ministry, she decided it was time to retire and focus more attention on the growing family business. Leah is loved and respected by her colleagues, leadership and those whom she serves within the Worship Arts Ministry. Her smiling face, willingness to help, ability to adapt to new situations and love for the church and His people will be missed around our office.

We LOVE you!
